Terms & Conditions
Membership Registration Terms and Conditions of the Young Generation of Dogoloya (YOUNGEN).
Effective Date: Upon publication on the Young Generation of Dogoloya official website.
These Terms and Conditions shall govern all applications for membership in the Young Generation of Dogoloya (YOUNGEN) and shall be read together with the Constitution of YOUNGEN, 2025 Act No. 1 of 2025.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a membership application through the official YOUNGEN website, the applicant confirms that he or she:
- Has read and understood these Terms and Conditions;
- Agrees to abide by the Constitution, rules, policies, resolutions, and decisions of YOUNGEN;
- Understands the rights, duties, and obligations of membership; and
- Agrees to be bound by all lawful decisions of the Organization.
2. About YOUNGEN
Young Generation Of Dogoloya (YOUNGEN) is a community-based youth organization established to promote unity, empowerment, social development, cooperation, and sustainable community growth among the people of Dogoloya.
Motto: Inspire, Influence, Impact.
3. Membership Eligibility
Membership shall be open to individuals who:
- a. Subscribe to the Constitution and objectives of YOUNGEN;
- b. Complete the prescribed membership registration process;
- c. Demonstrate good moral character and integrity;
- d. Are willing to actively support and participate in the activities of the Organization;
- e. Are capable of fulfilling the financial obligations of membership as prescribed by the Organization.
Membership shall be voluntary and dependent upon the member's commitment to the objectives of the Organization.
4. Non-Discrimination
YOUNGEN shall not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, social background, or any other unlawful ground.
5. Membership Categories
5.1 Full Membership
Full Membership shall be open to persons who satisfy the membership requirements prescribed by the Constitution.
5.2 Associate Membership
Associate Membership may be granted to non-profit institutions or organizations engaged in development activities.
Associate Members shall not vote in elections or participate in decision-making processes reserved for Full Members.
5.3 Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership may be awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the objectives and development of YOUNGEN.
Honorary Members shall not possess voting rights unless otherwise provided by the Constitution.
6. Registration Fee
Every applicant shall pay a Membership Registration Fee of Thirty New Leones (NLe 30) or such other amount as may be approved by the Executive Committee from time to time.
7. Monthly Membership Dues
All members shall pay a monthly subscription fee of Twenty New Leones (NLe 20) or such amount as may subsequently be approved by the Executive Committee.
Members are responsible for ensuring that their dues remain current and up to date.
8. Membership Card
Approved members may be issued an official Membership Card.
The Membership Card:
- Remains the property of YOUNGEN;
- Is valid only when signed and stamped by the Organization;
- Shall remain valid for five (5) years from the date of issue;
- May be renewed upon payment of any approved renewal fee.
9. Official Organization Attire
To promote unity, identity, and visibility of the Organization, every approved member shall be required to purchase and own the official YOUNGEN Polo Shirt and Cap.
The cost of the Polo Shirt and Cap shall be determined by the prevailing market price and approved by the Executive Committee from time to time.
Membership registration shall not be considered fully completed until the member has complied with the requirements relating to the acquisition of the official Organization attire, unless otherwise exempted by the Executive Committee.
Members are encouraged to wear the official Polo Shirt and Cap during meetings, official functions, community engagements, and activities organized or sanctioned by YOUNGEN.
10. Code of Conduct
All members shall:
- a. Respect and uphold the Constitution of YOUNGEN;
- b. Use the name, logo, and materials of the Organization responsibly;
- c. Protect the reputation and integrity of the Organization;
- d. Conduct themselves honestly and respectfully;
- e. Refrain from fraud, falsification of documents, unlawful conduct, or any act capable of bringing the Organization into disrepute;
- f. Promote unity, harmony, accountability, and cooperation among members;
- g. Not make public statements or representations on behalf of YOUNGEN without authorization from the Executive Committee.
11. Meetings and Participation
Members are encouraged to actively participate in:
- Annual General Meetings (AGMs);
- Ordinary Meetings;
- Special General Meetings;
- Community development activities;
- Organizational programs and projects.
Official notices may be communicated through email, SMS, WhatsApp, social media platforms, telephone calls, or any other approved communication channel.
12. Suspension and Termination of Membership
A member may cease to be a member of YOUNGEN where:
- a. The member voluntarily resigns by giving one month's written notice;
- b. The member is removed in accordance with the disciplinary procedures of the Organization;
- c. The member remains inactive or unreachable for a continuous period of six (6) months;
- d. The member fails to pay membership dues for six (6) consecutive months;
- e. The member violates the Constitution, Code of Conduct, or any lawful decision of the Organization.
13. Disciplinary Procedures
Any member alleged to have violated the Constitution, policies, or regulations of YOUNGEN may be subjected to disciplinary proceedings.
The member shall:
- Receive reasonable notice of the allegations;
- Be given an opportunity to respond;
- Have the right to appeal a disciplinary decision within five (5) days of such decision.
14. Executive Authority
The Executive Committee reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate membership applications in accordance with the Constitution of YOUNGEN.
The Executive Committee shall not be obligated to provide reasons for decisions relating to the admission, suspension, cancellation, or termination of membership.
15. Accuracy of Information
Applicants agree that all information submitted during registration is true, accurate, and complete.
YOUNGEN reserves the right to reject or revoke membership where false, misleading, or fraudulent information is provided.
16. Amendment of Terms
YOUNGEN reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions whenever necessary.
Any amendment approved in accordance with the Constitution shall become effective upon publication on the official website or through any other official communication channel.
17. Constitutional Supremacy
In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Constitution of YOUNGEN, the provisions of the Constitution shall prevail.
Declaration
I hereby declare that the information provided in my membership application is true and correct. I have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by the Constitution, policies, regulations, and lawful decisions of the Young Generation of Dogoloya (YOUNGEN).
